Baffa's 2023 release of CHASING WAVES teams him up with the award winning producers of Chef’s Table, Last Chance U, Street Food and CNN’s Decade’s Series.

CHASING is an in-depth 8-part series which takes a deep dive into Japanese surf culture and the worldwide influence of it’s globe trotting athletes.

Conceived by Christopher G. Cowen (Station 10 Media) and Jason Baffa Films, CHASING WAVES leans heavy into documentary story-telling while also celebrating Baffa’s love for amazing surf culture visuals.

Shot in five continents, Baffa credits their worldwide collaborators for inspired support as the series was produced during global Covid lockdowns which often made international travel impossible. Embedded remote teams helped bring the vision to life with amazing cinematography by Christopher Nicholls, Jett Akira, Christian Denslow, Jessie Little, Josh Flavell, Chris Bryan, Kyle Pahlow, Dan Moder, Scott Soens, Pedro Gomes, Prahlad Strickland.
